Forget about 100 opened tabs
Everyday research can be pretty hectic, going from article to article, from document to document, reading a ton just to capture the essence of a researched topic.
This always ends up in a mess, with 100 opened tabs having different point of views with insights hidden among thousands of words.
After you've captured the essence you start going back through hundreds of tabs trying to find that single point that made the most sense, but it's almost impossible.
Cluing is here to help; just install Cluing Extension and start saving important insights in an organized manner - as you read, right where you find them.
As a handy copilot, the Cluing Sidebar is always there while you browse. As simple as highlight & click.
But not only that. The same UX can be used for saving from YouTube, LinkedIn, Reddit, Quora, Kindle or any PDF as well.
Structure your research
Your unique insights are what make your work stand out. Cluing gives you the tools to stop losing them across PDFs, spreadsheets, and Slack messages.
With custom access roles on every level, it's as easy as 1, 2, 3.
Topics - Are the place where you add different highlights from webpages, documents and videos, often used as a collaborative board where you can add your colleagues, subject-area experts or clients to collaborate around different findings. Topics can have collaborators with View, Comment or Edit roles, but they can also be made public for faster sharing.
Clusters - Are collections of different Topics, you can use them to group topics either by subject, client, project or team working on them. Similar to Topics you can assign permissions for the whole cluster as well as make it private.
Workspace - Workspace is where your team is, this is where you can have all different topics and clusters for everyone to access.
Make every link count
Never again do the same research twice!
Cluing is not only a collaboration software, it's a knowledge base. The more you use it the smarter it gets.
Use #tags to mark certain highlights as important or add them to a particular category (#statistics, #ai, #linkedin). This way, if you ever need similar insights in the future, you know where to find them.
But even if your highlights are not labeled, our AI search can truly find a needle in a haystack.
If it's saved with us, you'll find it, no more going through 7646 links again just to find that one stat or graph.
Let AI organize what you've saved
When snippets pile up, your Inbox can get busy fast. Instead of sorting everything manually, use the AI Suggestion button. It reads each snippet and recommends the best title, tags, and Topic, so you can sort your Inbox in seconds.
Need a bigger reset? Open AI Chat and ask it to help restructure your workspace.
The Self-Organizing Workspace agent reviews everything you've saved and suggests a cleaner structure, without you touching a single snippet manually.
Synthesize with AI that actually knows your research
This is where the context you've been building really pays off.
Once your Topic has snippets in it, open AI Chat and mention it using @TopicName. The AI doesn't search the internet - it works with your saved snippets, your comments, and your context.
The more you've saved (and the more notes you've added), the more useful AI Chat becomes.
Ask things like:
"What are the key themes across @CompetitorResearch?"
"Summarize the main arguments in @MarketTrends"
"What's still missing from @ProductStrategy?"
You can mention multiple Topics in one conversation to cross-reference workstreams and save insights from the conversation back into your Topics.
Upload documents directly into AI Chat
Not everything lives on the web. For reports, briefs, and downloaded files, upload them directly into AI Chat.
Cluing reads the document and lets you ask questions immediately:
"What are the main findings in this report?"
"List all the statistics mentioned here"
"How does this compare to what I have in @MarketOverview?"
No need to highlight first, just upload and start asking.
Draft your output in Canvas
When it's time to write - a report, a summary, a strategy doc - open Canvas directly from AI Chat.
Canvas is a persistent writing space connected to your conversation and your Topics. Ask AI to draft an outline, expand sections based on specific snippets, or structure your findings, then edit inline with the formatting toolbar.
When it's ready, save it back as a Snippet, export it, or drag it straight into Google Docs or Notion.
