If the Cluing extension is on in your browser, you can save snippets without opening the extension. There is a Highilghter button that pops up exactly where you’re highlighting.
How it works
When you highlight any text on a webpage, a small menu will appear. There, you will have three options to save snippet:
Snippet: Click this to turn your selection into a snippet. It opens a quick-save window where you can double-check the details
Bookmark: Use this to save the entire URL to your Topic. It’s perfect for building a "read later" list.
Summarize: This action summarizes the entire page and saves that summary as a snippet.
💡 Pro Tip: If you don't see the menu appearing, make sure the “Hide highlighter button” option is turned OFF in your extension settings.
The Quick-Save Window
After you click one of the buttons, a small window appears so you can stay organized without leaving the page. Here you can:
Pick your spot: Choose exactly which Cluster and Topic this research belongs to
Add your thoughts: Drop in a comment, add a tag, or mention a teammate to start a conversation
Confirm: One click and you’re done
AI Suggestions
To make things even faster, our "Smart Assistant" looks at your previous research and suggests the best Topic, Title, and Tags for your new snippet. Most of the time, you won’t even have to type just confirm and keep moving.
It’s like having an assistant that learns how you work and helps you stay organized. 🤖
