Create an AI-Powered Testimonial System

Capture customer testimonials, feedback, and success stories in one place, then let AI turn them into landing pages, social proof, and high-converting copy.

Written by Gordana Laskovic

Every time a client sends you a great result, a reader leaves a thoughtful comment, or someone DMs you something worth keeping - that's your best copy.

The problem is it lives across email threads, Slack messages, social media notifications, and screenshots you'll never find again.

Here's how to build a testimonial system in Cluing that feeds directly into your AI, so you always have the right words when you need them.

Before You Start: A Quick Look at How Cluing Works

If this is your first time using Cluing, here's a quick orientation before you dive in.

🧠 Cluing is an AI-powered knowledge base that lets you save anything you find online - social media posts, newsletters, articles, PDFs, videos, your own notes - and organize it all in one place. Instead of scattered bookmarks, screenshots, and copy-pasted links, everything lives in a structured workspace you can search, share, and use directly with AI.

Here's how the structure works:

📌 Snippets are the building blocks - individual pieces of content you save. A snippet can be a highlighted sentence from an article, a saved LinkedIn post, a YouTube video, a PDF extract, or a note you typed yourself. Every snippet stays linked to its original source.

📌 Topics are your collections. Think of them like folders, but smarter. Each Topic groups related snippets together around a theme, project, or purpose. You might have a Topic for Competitor Research, one for Newsletter Ideas, one for Client Feedback. Topics are also shareable, so you can invite collaborators to view, comment, or contribute. 📌 Clusters are one level up - they group multiple Topics together for bigger projects or broader themes. If Topics are chapters, Clusters are the book. Learn more about Clusters →

📌 Inbox is where everything lands when you save something without sorting it yet. It's your capture-first, organize-later space - nothing gets lost, and you can file things into Topics whenever you're ready. Learn more about the Inbox →

Once you have a sense of the structure, the workflow below will click immediately.

Step 1: Create a Testimonials Topic

Start by creating a dedicated Testimonials Topic in Cluing - this is where everything goes.

From that point on, any time someone says something worth keeping, it goes in here.

A LinkedIn post, a reply to your newsletter, a DM, a Slack message from a happy client, a review, a line from a client email. Save it the moment you see it, before it disappears into the feed.

How to save:

  • On desktop - highlight the text and use the browser extension to clip it directly as a snippet. It stays linked to the source.

  • On mobile - tap the native Share button from any app (LinkedIn, X, Reddit, Substack) and select Cluing. It lands in your Inbox instantly.

  • For your own notes - if a client said something memorable on a call, open Cluing and create an Idea snippet to write it down before you forget.

Add a short comment on each snippet with context - what they were responding to, what result they got, what role they have. That context becomes valuable when you're writing copy later.

Step 2: Let AI Find the Patterns

Once you've built up a collection, you don't have to comb through everything manually to find what's useful.

In AI Chat, type @ and mention your Testimonials Topic directly in your prompt. The AI reads everything in that Topic and works from it - not from generic training data.

Try prompts like:

  • "Analyze @Testimonials and find the 3 most recurring themes in what people say."

  • "What specific results or outcomes do people mention most often in @Testimonials?"

  • "Which quotes in @Testimonials would work best as social proof on a landing page?"

  • "Identify the exact language my customers use to describe their problem before finding me, based on @Testimonials."

The AI surfaces patterns you'd miss reading one by one - the phrases that keep coming up, the results people mention most, the before/after language your audience naturally uses.

Step 3: Write Copy That Sounds Like Your Customers

Once you have the patterns, you can go further in the same conversation. Ask the AI to turn what it found into actual copy:

  • "Write a testimonials section for my landing page using the strongest quotes from @Testimonials."

  • "Draft a social proof block for my homepage that uses the language patterns you found."

  • "Turn the top 5 insights from @Testimonials into bullet points for my sales page."

The draft appears in Canvas, ready to edit. You can ask the AI to revise specific sections, adjust the tone, make it shorter, or try a different angle - all in the same place, without starting over. When you're happy with it, copy it out or export it directly.

Because the AI is working from real things real people said - in their own words - the copy it produces doesn't sound like marketing. It sounds like your customers talking to each other.

What Else You Can Save in a Collection Like This

The same system works beyond testimonials. Any time you want to capture raw language from real people and use it to write better, a dedicated Cluing Topic is the right place:

  • Voice-of-customer research - save the way people in your niche describe their problems in Reddit threads, LinkedIn comments, or forum posts. Use it to write positioning that resonates.

  • Objection tracking - save the reasons prospects say no, in their exact words. When you rewrite your FAQ or sales page, you're answering real objections, not the ones you assume.

  • Reader questions and comments - every time someone asks you something in a comment or reply, save it. The pile becomes your content calendar.

  • A wins archive - every good result a client, reader, or student gets. Useful for case studies, useful for bad days when you forget your work matters.

  • Founder story material - every time someone tells you why they chose you or what changed for them, save it. When you write your About page or pitch a talk, you have real moments to pull from.

The idea is the same across all of them: capture the raw language as it appears, let it build up, let AI find the patterns when you need them.

Save testimonials, feedback, comments, and customer conversations in one place, then let AI turn them into landing pages, emails, and social posts whenever you need them.
