How to Add Annotations to Documents on Desktop

Anything you highlight in a Document becomes a snippet - saved into a Topic, searchable, and still linked back to the page it came from.

Before you start

Your Document needs to be open in Reader. Two ways to get it there:

• It’s on your computer → upload it

• It’s online PDF → open it straight from its URL, or click the Cluing extension icon while viewing it. No need to download it first.

Highlight and save a snippet

It works exactly like highlighting on any webpage. When your Document opens in Reader, the extension opens with it - so you can start straight away.

1. Pick the Topic you’re collecting into

2. Highlight any text - a snippet preview appears

3. Press Enter, or click Create
