How to Save Substack Content to Cluing

With Cluing, you can capture any Substack post or note, whether you read it on the web/app or receive it in your inbox - and turn it into an organized snippet inside your workspace.

Save from the Web

This is the fastest way if you’re reading a Substack post in your browser.

1. Open the Substack post you want to save

2. Open Cluing extension

3. Choose how you want to capture it:

   • Highlight text sand save it as Snippet

   • Click Bookmark to save the whole post

   • Click Summarize to have Cluing generate a summary of the entire post

Tip

📖 Read the full post inside Cluing: Once your Substack snippet is saved, open it and choose “Open in Reader” - the entire post will be displayed right inside Cluing.

Auto-Save Substack Newsletters via Email

If you subscribe to a Substack via Cluing email, you can route those posts straight into Cluing so they never clutter your inbox.

1. Open your workspace settings and go to the Emails section.

2. Click to add a new email and choose the Topic

   1. Cluing generates a unique email address for that Topic

3. Use that address to subscribe to the Substack, or forward existing Substack emails to it

Save on Mobile

On mobile, you can save Substack posts, Notes, and full articles directly to Cluing. Here’s how:

1. Install the Cluing mobile app (iOS and Android)

2. Open the Substack post and tap the Share button

3. Select Cluing from the list of apps

   1. Cluing generates a snippet - choose a Topic, edit the title, add a comment, and tap Create
